Jerry Gibson embarked on his professional journey with a resolute determination to secure a teaching and coaching position in a distinguished Texas school district upon completing his education degree. His persistence paid off as he found a position that allowed him to merge his passion for academics and athletics.

Throughout the early stages of his career, Dr. Gibson embraced diverse roles, ranging from teacher to head coach, athletic director, assistant principal, and eventually full-time principal. As time progressed, he consciously decided to dedicate his career to school administration, recognizing its potential to drive substantial change in his community and the local education system.In 2011, he took on one of the most significant roles of his early career when he was appointed Executive Director of Secondary Education in the esteemed Waco Independent School District.

In this pivotal position, he showcased exceptional leadership skills, overseeing the operations of nearly a dozen schools that collectively served a student body exceeding 6,500. The Waco Independent School District, recognized as one of the larger districts in Texas, provided Dr. Gibson with an influential platform to make a lasting impact.Transitioning to the role of Superintendent, he leveraged his extensive experience gained through his journey from teaching to principalship. He was allowed to serve as a superintendent in three different school districts across Texas over the next decade. Each district brought unique challenges, from implementing innovative educational plans to nurturing relationships with parents and educators.

Throughout this period, he remained unwavering in his commitment to prioritizing the well-being of students, ensuring they had access to the education and resources essential for their growth. Notable among the districts he served as Superintendent were Coldspring, Oakhurst, and Marshall, TX.His career trajectory exemplifies his unwavering dedication to education and his relentless pursuit of improving student outcomes.
